My research interest lies in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), specifically in Computer-supported Cooperative Work (CSCW) and Social Computing. I am primarily interested in exploring how social science theories can be used to design and develop social computing systems that promote effective communication among individuals, groups, and organizations. Through my research, I intend to further the empirical, practical and theoretical understanding of human relationships and communications in online environments.
I received B.A in Communication and, Information and Culture Technology Studies (2013) from Seoul National University. I received Master of Engineering (2015) at Seoul National University advised by Prof.Bongwon Suh and Prof.Joonhwan Lee.
Previously, I worked as an SQA Intern in Avid Technology in Mountain View, CA for one year (2011) and participated in developing the Avid Studio for PC 1.1 and Avid Studio for iPad (Currently Pinnacle Studio). Also, I have participated in a number of HCI research projects with Samsung Electronics, Samsung SDS, Hyundai Motors and Korea Creative Content Agency as a research intern.
In my free time, I enjoy playing Squash and listening random old songs.
